There is hope...because there is help!
ADOPTION, ABORTION, OR PARENTING......

You have major decisions to make about your pregnancy.  You may be concerned with what your family & friends think, but the important thing is what YOU think.  You need to learn about ALL of your choices:  Adoption, Abortion & Parenting.

Adoption
  • You can resume your current lifestyle in a few months.
  • You will not have to parent before you are ready.
  • You will avoid rushing into a hasty relationship with the baby's father.
  • Your pregnancy will end with life.
  • You will have continued contact with your child.

You may decide to place your child for adoption.  Each year over 50,000 women in America make this choice.  This loving decision is often made by women who first thought abortion was their only way out.

Abortion
  • You have to make the decision right away & it is final.
  • You may feel guilt & shame about this choice.
  • Your pregnancy will end in death.
  • You will never know your child.
You have the legal right to choose the outcome of your pregnancy.  But real empowerment comes when you find the resources and inner strength necessary to make your best choice.

Parenting
  • You have plenty of time in your pregnancy to decide between Adoption or Parenting.
  • You can feel good & positive about this choice.
  • Your pregnancy will end with life.
  • You will fully participate in watching your child grow up.

Choosing to continue your  pregnancy and to parent is very challenging.  But with the support of caring people, parenting classes, and other resources, many women find the help they need to  make this choice.

At Life House, we provide you with information you need to make an informed decision.  However, it is our counsel that abortion only compounds the difficulties surrounding a crisis pregnancy; therefore, we do not recommend or refer for abortion.  If you do choose to have an abortion & experience post-abortion symptoms help is available through our PACE ministry.

Post-abortion Syndrome (PAS) is a form of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.  This syndrome describes the problems you may experience when the painful emotions surrounding your abortion experience have not been dealt with.  PAS can also affect the men & parents involved in the crisis pregnancy.

PACE (post-abortion counseling & education) is a 10 week Bible study (Save-One) & support group offered by Life House to help men & women through PAS.

If you are interested in participation in PACE or just want more information, call 270-753-0700.  You may also email us at lifehouse@murray-ky.net.  All inquires are strictly confidential.
